Spiritual Renovation

Not deconstruction, Spiritual Renovation.

Like many people, I was given a spiritual framework as a child. That framework served me well for many years. But as I grew and experienced the world, many things about that framework no longer served me. Tearing the framework down completely wasn’t the answer for me. I still found some of my beliefs useful. It had “good bones” as they say. So, I spent time examining my beliefs and experiences. I let go of some things. I replaced some things. And I transformed the framework that no longer served me into something that aligned with who I am and the experiences that I have had.

In my work as a palliative care chaplain, I have encountered many people whose faith and beliefs have been shaken. A terminal diagnosis at 40 often makes people question their world view. Examining faith, transforming it into something that can bear the weight of this new reality - this is the work that I have done with patients over the years.

The Space To Explore

Perhaps your spiritual framework can no longer hold your experience. Maybe you are disenchanted with organized religion. It’s possible that you simply want an open, safe, judgment free place to explore your own doubts or new ideas about faith and belief.

As someone who has been through that process and helped many others through the process, I would love to provide that space for you.
